Your Responsibilities

Linköping Municipality is looking for an engaged support pedagog who wants to contribute to developing and ensuring good quality of life for the municipality's residents. The position is located at the unit Rydsvägen 272.

As a support pedagog, you work closely with the residents and support them in managing their daily lives based on individual needs. You create structure, motivate, and strengthen the ability to live as independently as possible. The work is based on a pedagogical approach and IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus). You formulate goals together with the resident, establish and follow up on implementation plans, and document in the organization’s systems.

The role includes an extended quality and development responsibility. This means that you:

Guide colleagues in pedagogical methods and approaches.
Follow up on the quality of documentation and ensure that routines are followed.
Participate in the organization’s quality work and development areas.
Drive and follow up on development issues during meetings and supervision.
Introduce new employees.

You also contribute to collecting feedback from residents and suggest improvements that strengthen the quality of the organization. You will be part of a network group with other support pedagogs.

Your Workplace

Rydsvägen 272 is a special accommodation for individuals over 18 years old with mental and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Substance abuse issues may occur. The accommodation has a base apartment on Rydsvägen and includes 10 apartments. The staff also provides housing support services to individuals with mental and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities living in regular housing. If health and medical care services are needed, there are nurses and physiotherapists associated with the accommodation. The staff group consists of 5 employees who work days, evenings, weekends, and on-call duty on a rotating 6-week schedule.

Rydsvägen has a base apartment where our residents can have coffee, watch TV, or engage in other activities. We meet individuals who have a diagnosis within psychiatry, and there are both psychotic disorders and substance abuse issues. Many are functioning well and need support and assistance in their daily lives, from helping with official contacts to finding employment, as well as getting help with structure in their apartment and daily life. As staff, you are also available during times of poorer well-being.

The accommodation is located in Ryd, and you can easily reach it by public transport with a bus from the travel center. If you cycle or walk, there are good cycling paths to get here.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is a trained support pedagog or has a relevant YH or university degree. Experience working in social psychiatry is a requirement. Knowledge of MI, ESL, low-arousal approach, and pedagogical methods is desirable.

You need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, for documentation and client meetings, and be comfortable using computers for documentation. Experience with documentation in Treserva and working based on IBIC is an advantage.

As a person, you are flexible, change-oriented, and have good judgment. We see that you collaborate well with others, are attentive, and can take responsibility. You have an understanding of how individuals learn based on different conditions.
